The goal of the Hungarian Cold-Blooded Horse Breed of Muraközi Pilot Program is to preserve the genetic reserve of Muraközi horses, based on the genes carried by the cold-blooded mares that can be classified into the Muraközi type. The program aims to revive the Muraközi type horse breed. Key objectives of the research program include publishing a book about the Muraközi horse and distinguishing the Muraközi breed within the Hungarian cold-blooded breed group, ensuring its revival and preservation. The program is implemented by the Őrség National Park Directorate in cooperation with the breeding organization.
